I'm tired and I can't get up....

I'm a spiritual practitioner. Y'all know that. In addition to that, I'm a wife, entrepreneur, cat mom of 4, godmother, goddaughter, gardener, seamstress, gym rat, chicken owner... basically I'M BUSY! My mornings start early to the gym, then housework, then make dinner, do some yardwork, bathe, get dressed, go to work, try to connect with my friends/family, family time with the hubs, meditate and get ready for the next day. My only off day is Sunday and that day is filled with laundry, grocery shopping and all the other household chores I didn't get to during the week. But every now and then... I don't feel like it.

Now this doesn't happen every week. If it did, my life would erupt into chaos. But every now and then, I can't get out of bed. I lay in the bed all morning neglecting my household. It's never a gym day. Gym days have me up and out of the house with a bra on. Bras have magical powers because it makes you feel ready to take on the world. I don't particularly look forward to these dead days. I'm getting older and I know how important it is to move around. That keeps things lubricated. Also, down days mean there's more for me to do the day after. And that's a total mind fuck. But when my own personal spirit says "CHILL", I chill. Because she needs it.

It's important to Listen to the body in such a way that it doesn't get over worked. Because it can shut down on you. That's the same in a spiritual life. You can easily become overwhelmed and stop doing the things you need to do. And should. Sometimes we need that break. But you must get back on the horse and not let down time become something you used to do. I hear this every day from clients. They used to do something, but then it got too much so they stopped forever....

Example....

Them: Ms. Serenity, there is so much turmoil in my house! Things have gotten out of hand!

Me: What have you been doing differently?

Them: Nothing I swear!

Me: (Do a little divination) Your ancestors are angry. When is the last time you serviced your altar?

Them: I took it down because (whatever cock and bull excuse)

Me: There's your problem

Them: It's just too much

I get spirituality is something that adds to an already busy life. But it's as necessary as anything else you find time to do. Don't just talk about it. Be about it
