Mercury in Retrograde

Mercury is about to go into retrograde. That means if you are a planet watching person that Mercury will look like it’s not moving forward in its path. It will actually look like it’s moving backwards. It’s not. But it looks like it will.

This phenomenon is similar to when you’re driving and pass a car that is moving forward. The car appears to be moving backward but it is still moving forward. I actually had a freaky reaction when I was parking last week. As I was pulling in the car adjacent was pulling out. It made me feel like I was moving too fast forward and was going to hit the car parked in front of me. It was totally just a circumstance, but it made me feel crazy. This is the same retrograde experience

But why did I bring this up? Well…. “As above, so below.” Mercury is the planet we mark for communication and forward movement. If it looks like it’s moving backward (even if it’s not). So folks are going to misunderstand everything that you say and/or do. That also applies to your conjure. They results of JuJu you do during a Mercury retrograde can be off…. Way off.

So what can you do? You can take this time to learn something new. Start collecting your ritual items. Read a book. Learn a new divination method… anything that doesn’t cause you to interact with folks. Because if you do root now, chances are you are going to have to undo it later.
